About
Trump Mobile refers to a proposed U.S.-based smartphone manufacturer and cellular service provider. It was announced by Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., the sons of U.S. President Donald Trump, on behalf of the Trump Organization, in mid-June 2025. The announcement included the reveal of the T1 Phone, which was planned to be gold and operate on the Android 15 operating system. The announcement of Trump Mobile sparked viral reactions and memes on social media sites like Twitter / X and Reddit, among others.
History
On June 16th, 2025, the Trump Organization unveiled its plans for a new business venture called Trump Mobile, a smartphone manufacturer and cellular service provider.[1][2]
It was announced on the Trump Organization website,[3] which read, "Alongside the team from Trump Mobile, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump unveil T1 Mobile, a transformational, new cellular service designed to deliver top-tier connectivity, unbeatable value and all-American service for our nation’s hardest-working people."
It was also announced in person at Trump Tower in New York, New York.[6][7][20]
Later on June 16th, Eric Trump appeared on RFD-TV and spoke with anchor Tammi Arender about the launch of Trump Mobile. He talked about "getting into the mobile phone space."[5]
He stated that Trump Mobile phones would be manufactured in the U.S. and customer service would be in the U.S. He stated that the business aimed to "build a mobile network by Americans, for Americans."[5]
Features
The proposed price for the Trump Mobile cellular service plan was $47.45 per month. It was set to provide unlimited talk, text, and data, complete device protection and free international calling to more than 100 countries, among other services, according to the Trump Organization's announcement post.[3]
Also, according to the Trump Organization's announcement post,[3] Trump Mobile planned to "offer 5G service through all three major cellular carriers," meaning that it would use preexisting wireless infrastructure as a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO).[8][18]
The plan also included the proposed launch of the T1 Phone, which was marked at $499 and set to be gold, as shown in the promotional photos on the Trump Mobile website (shown below). The phone's listed operating system on the site was Android 15.[4]
