Origin

A video called 2 Guys 1 Fish was posted to Reddit's /r/WTF in the year 2014 by Redditor /u/Supashibe.^[1] The video, which shows a man standing in murky waters as his friend assists him in getting a fish to fellate him, can be traced back on X as early as the year 2019,^[2] making a reappearance in 2022 via repost by @turboiscrazy.^[3]

The "Girl With A Trout" clip went viral in early 2023 after a video showing a woman inserting a trout into her vagina was shared online. The clip was reportedly filmed by an Australian couple in Tasmania.

Spread

In early November 2023, various X users commented on "The Fish Video" following viral discussions about "The Horse Video" and "The Frog Video." Most posts warned against looking at the clip due to its graphic content.

For example, on November 4th, X^[4] user @ayeejuju made a post that read, "THERES A FISH VIDEO…" (seen below, left), while X^[5] account @DramaAlert put out a warning on November 3rd documenting all the various pieces of animal shock content being shared on X (seen below, right).

Girl With Trout Video / Using A Trout For Clout

Girl With Trout Video, also known as the Tassie Trout Lady, Using A Trout For Clout or 1 Girl 1 Trout, is an explicit viral video and piece of shock media involving a woman on a fishing boat with a trout inside her vagina. The video was purportedly filmed by an Australian couple in Tasmania and first surfaced in January 2023. It was also purportedly accompanied by a video showing the couple having sex in a cemetery on top of the grave of deceased artist David Hammond Chapman. It later spread to Reddit's /r/Unexpected in January 2023, then to Twitter and elsewhere online. Tasmanian police investigated the video as it spread, likening it to bestiality and animal abuse. Additionally, the Facebook page of Kingston Animal Hospital in Tasmania released a statement on the video, claiming that the Tassie Trout Lady was an ex-employee at the veterinarian clinic.
