The Monkey is Furiously Knocking at the Door is a viral video of a sped-up chimpanzee angrily shaking the door to his enclosure in a desperate attempt at escaping. It has been captioned and edited many times, often accompanied by ear rape.
Origin
The first known instance of the video was uploaded to YouTube[1] by Seen that! Видал, чо! on September 20, 2016 (shown below). It has gained over 920,000 views in 4 years.
Spread
10 days later on September 30, 2016, YouTuber[2] Bacon uploaded a 7 second version of the aforementioned video, editing the end to include ear rape and amassing over 390,000 views in 4 years. Many memes that were later created used this loud rendition.
On October 27, 2016, Coub[2] user OhSh1t posted a brief clip from the original video, captioned "When you have to pee bad but someone is taking forever in the bathroom 😩😩". This garnered over 110 views and 13 likes in 4 years.
