Theresa May's "What On Earth's Happening With Brexit" Video refers to a viral video that was published onto the UK Prime Minister Twitter account on April 7th, 2019 which showed Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Theresa May explaining the latest developments of Brexit. The video has spawned recreated photos and videos which have been shared on social media.

On April 7th, 2019, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Theresa May published a video on to the UK Prime Minister Twitter account (@10DowningStreet) explaining the situation that has been going on with Brexit in the last few weeks.



In the video, Theresa May explains the situation that the country is in and what the next steps the government were planning to go through. The video received over 2,100 likes and over 930 retweets.

In the aftermath of the video being published on Twitter as well as other social media pages including Facebook, several photos and recreated videos were uploaded. For example, Twitter @CuriousUkTelly posted a video that interspersed the clip with disaster footage, gaining over 1,700 retweets and 3,800 likes (shown below, top). User @mental_nigella_ tweeted a clip from Austin Powers with the phrase "Let me explain what's happening with Brexit," gaining over 690 retweets and 2,700 likes (shown below, bottom).







Other Twitter users paired the quote "Let me explain what's happening with Brexit" with other memes. For example, user @pointlesslettrs[1] tweeted the quote with the Milk Edinburgh photo, gaining over 240 retweets and 1,400 likes (shown below, left).
