Took A Nap refers to a series of TikTok videos set to the song "I Took A Nap" by Gunarolla.[1] The song snippet used in these videos typically features the lyrics, "I had a lot of things to do today, but you know what I did instead? On April 15th, 2020, musician and influencer Gunnarolla uploaded the official music video for his song "I Took A Nap" to YouTube (shown below). The video starts with Gunnarolla singing along to his song, followed by a cut to him sleeping on the couch. It garnered over 40 thousand views in 5 months. On the same day, he uploaded the video to TikTok,[2] garnering over 644 thousand views and 121 thousand likes over the same period of time.

On April 19th, 2020, TikToker mushubeans[3] uploaded a video of their kitten playing around the house, then napping, accompanied by Gunnarolla's original sound (shown below, left). The video garnered over 356 thousand views in 5 months. On April 27th, TikToker kelseycotter3[4] uploaded a video of her cat drifting to sleep using the same sound and the hashtag #itookanap (shown below, right). The video gained over 669 thousand views and 174 thousand likes in just under 5 months.

On April 29th, TikToker hannahkbrown[5] uploaded a video captioned, "nap queen" following the format without featuring her pet (shown below, left).
