What Dreams Are Made Of is a track off the 2003 Walt Disney film The Lizzie McGuire Movie.[1] A film clip of the song has become a popular positive reaction GIF.
Origin
On May 2nd 2003, The Lizze McGuire Movie aired as the finale of the television show Lizze McGuire.[2] A clip of the final scene featuring the song "What Dreams Are Made Of" was uploaded to YouTube on September 3rd, 2012 (shown below). The video has gained over 58 million views in seven years.
Spread
Many people began using clips from the "What Dreams Are Made Of" scene as nostalgic reminders and reaction GIFs. On July 18th, 2017, Bustle uploaded a clip with the caption "when u find a really good new show to watch on Netflix and there are more than 10 episodes" to Instagram (shown below). The clip gained over 19,200 likes in two years.
On May 11th, 2018, Twitter fan account @ImLizzieM uploaded a video of someone performing a comedic cover of the song with the caption "Me every time I watch The Lizzie McGuire Movie" (shown below). The tweet garnered over 11,700 retweets and 28,800 likes in a year.

On June 10th, 2019, Trisha Paytas uploaded "What Dreams Are Made Of Music Video (Cover)" (shown below). The video garnered over 1.2 million views and 87,000 likes in 15 days.
On June 21st, Hilary Duff commented "Ooof yikes" on @drinksforgayz Instagram post captioning the song clip with "When he eats your ass for eight minutes straight (shown below).
