What Sin Do You Relish the Most is an exploitable meme format based on a SpongeBob SquarePants meme in which Squidward asks a fish ordering food from the Krusty Krab, "What sin do you relish the most?" and the fish tells him "Vanity," followed by Squidward telling him that his "death will be met with a tidal wave of total indifference." The original meme was posted by Facebook page Hello welcome to purgatory 2 in April 2025. It was reposted across social media numerous times over the following months, inspiring edits that alter the captions. The same scene was popularized as the "Daring Today, Aren't We" meme in 2018.

On April 29th, 2025, Facebook[12] page Hello welcome to purgatory 2: why do we keep doing this posted a meme that uses an edit of a scene from SpongeBob SquarePants season one, episode 6B,[3] shows Squidward ask a fish "What sin do you relish the most?" The fish responds, "Vanity." Squidward says he's "disgusting," the fish responds, "this face and this name are all I truly possess," and Squidward says, "Your death will be met with a tidal wave of total indifference." The post gained around 1,100 reactions in two months.

On June 3rd, 2025 Instagram[1] and X[2] user fashionruinedmylife reposted the meme, garnering over 60,000 likes on the former and 71,000 likes on the latter.

Shortly after the meme was posted, people began posting edits of it as comments under the X post. For example, on June 4th, 2025, X[4] user @catsporess posted an edit about the sin of "gluttony," garnering over 2,700 likes in around two weeks.

Between June 13th and 14th, iFunny[7][8][9][10] user Based_Christ_Posting posted a collection of four version of the meme, which appear to be reposts, garnering over 13,000, 5,000 1,600 and 1,000 smiles respectively by June 16th. On June 16th, iFunny[11] user slimypoopblast posted a version of the meme that gained over 900 likes in under five hours.
