Who Else Does This While In Bed? or Tucking Blanket Under Feet is an exploitable webcomic captioned "who else does this?" depicting a stick figure tucking the blanket under their feet while in bed in order to become cozy. The earliest available version of the meme was posted to 9GAG in August 2013 and became the subject of photoshops over the following years, depicting the stick figure doing things such as soiling the bed and ending his own life.
Origin
The earliest available version of the meme was posted to 9GAG[1] by xxx1xxx on August 14th, 2013, garnering over 90 upvotes in 10 years (shown below). This does not appear to be the true original upload. The meme and alternate versions of it spread online over the following years, including a November 2013 reupload to Barnorama,[2] a December 2013 repost to the @funnyorfact X[3] page and a 2015 repost by Instagram[4] user allisonnyc.
The earliest known edit of the meme is a Marge Krumping edit posted by Tumblr[5] user fuks on February 3rd, 2016, garnering over 84,000 notes in seven yars (shown below).
Spread
The meme became the further subject of edits over the following years. On April 23rd, 2018, u/General___Reposti posted a version of the meme to /r/SequelMemes,[6] garnering over 1,400 upvotes in five years (shown below, left). On June 31st, 2021, Redditor u/bomer42 posted a version of the meme to /r/okbuddyretard[7] featuring the stick figure having diarrhea in bed, garnering over 13,000 upvotes in two years (shown below, right).
On October 27th, X[8] user @shitpostgate posted a version of the meme that gained over 58,000 likes in four days. On October 30th, 2023, Redditor u/ResplendentCapybara posted an edit of the meme to /r/memes[9] referencing the Saddam Hussein's Hiding Place meme, garnering over 2,300 upvotes in a day (shown below). The meme was originally posted by Tumblr[10] user epilepticsaints on July 13th, 2021, garnering over 6,600 notes in two years.
