About

You’ve Got To Put Some Swaz on It Gromit, continued Top Bins, refers to a viral audio used in Fail videos and football / soccer memes that references the British stop-motion animation cartoon Wallace and Gromit. The male voice impersonates Wallace telling Gromit that he's got to put some "swaz" on the ball. The original video was an Ending the Video When We Cringe video from TikToker @lewout posted in 2023. The predominant sound that surfaced later added a gunshot or headshot sound effect that coincided with the slang term "Top bins!" The meme trended on video platforms like TikTok and YouTube in late 2023.

Origin

On September 29th, 2023, TikToker[1] @lewout posted an "Ending the Video When We Cringe" video in which the last guy, wearing a blue hoodie, said, "Oh, you've got to put some swaz on it Gromit! Top bins!" causing everyone to cringe, ultimately ending the video. The monologue referenced the British cartoon Wallace and Gromit, likely a direct reference to a scene where the duo are playing football.[2] Over two months, the TikTok gained over 10.8 million plays and 1.2 million likes (shown below).
