Wow. I Really Shouldn't Stick My Penis in There. However refers to a comic panel in which of a man contemplates having sex with certain something. Originating from a comic by artist Baalbuddy, the image has been used as a reaction and a template for memes.

Origin

On March 25th, 2019, artist Baalbuddy posted a three-panel comic in which a "lovecraftian horror-chan" offers a person to have sex with its "mystery orifice." In the second panel, the person considers the offer, saying, "Wow. I really shouldn't stick my penis in there. …However," with the third panel revealing that the person impregnated and had children with the creature. The post (shown below) received over 440 retweets and 1,700 likes on Twitter^[1] in two years.

On September 9th, 2019, iFunny^[2] user Jato posted the second panel of the comic without the creature and its dialogue. The post (shown below, left) received over 4,600 smiles in two years.

On September 26th, 2019, Redditor Vuynjou posted the earliest found meme based that used the panel, with their post gaining over 33,200 upvotes in the /r/dankmemes^[3] subreddit in six months (shown below, right).

On October 21st, 2019, Redditor Dragonball17 posted the earliest found meme that used the panel as a template, editing in Yu Takeyama from My Hero Academia anime series. The post received over 830 upvotes in the /r/BokuNoMetaAcademia^[4] subreddit in six months (shown below, left).

Starting on October 21st, users posted more similar edits of the panel. For example, on that day Redditor Plate_Fox posted an SCP-173 meme that received over 540 upvotes the /r/DankMemesFromSite19^[5] subreddit (shown below, center). On October 22nd, Redditor DaddyFrozone posted a Warhammer 40,000 meme that garnered over 350 upvotes in the /r/Grimdank^[6] subreddit in six months (shown below, right).

In the following years, the panel maintained its popularity as a meme format, with users editing in various characters and objects.
