Alex Jones' Gay Frogs Rant, also known as the Gay Bomb Rant, refers to a viral segment of InfoWars in which host Alex Jones claims that water is being poisoned with chemicals that are "making the friggin' frogs gay."
Origin
On October 16th, 2015, the Alex Jones YouTube channel uploaded a video titled "Alex Jones: The Gay Bomb Rant" (shown below).
Spread
On May 18th, 2016, YouTuber Todd Dracula uploaded a compilation of Alex Jones clips, including the gay frogs rant (shown below). Within two years, the video accumulated 669,000 views and 900 comments. On February 20th, 2017, Redditor feathersovhawks submitted a gay frog-themed "Sweet Jesus, Pooh!" image to /r/dankmemes[1] (shown below, right).
On September 20th, the Alex Jones channel uploaded a video titled "Proof! Gay Frogs Are Real: Alex Jones Was Right" (shown below, left). On October 23rd, YouTuber Grandayy uploaded a Man's Not Hot parody mixed with the Alex Jones rant titled "Big Alex Jones – Frog's Not Hot" (shown below, right). Within six months, the video received more than 562,000 views and 1,200 comments.
