Boys Being Chained Up All the Time or Something, also known as Boys Have to Go Through Being Chained Up All the Time or Something, refers to a viral clip from a Slushy Noobz YouTube video in which a kid in a Fortnite game tells Hamzah and Martin that boys and men have to go through "being chained up all the time or something" because they can "never be free." The original video was shared in mid-2023, but gained memes and references on TikTok heading into 2025.

Origin

On August 5th, 2023, Slushy Noobz posted a YouTube[1] video called "Fortnite Fashion Show?" which received over 350,100 views in two years. At the video's 26:50-minute mark (shown below), a kid tells Hamzah and Martin, "My first one is a thing that boys have to go through, being chained up all the time or something." Another kid says, "What?" Hamzah says, "Valid." And Martin also says, "What?"

On March 3rd, 2024, TikToker[2] @slushyloverz reposted the abovementioned clip, writing, "Y'all remember this?" gaining over 45,200 likes in a year (shown below).

The clip was reposted again on January 17th, 2025, by TikToker[3] @nettspend789, gaining over 118,600 likes in six months.

On January 20th, TikToker[4] @mayaibukimabae posted an animation of the Boys Being Chained Up All the Time or Something clip, using characters from the anime and manga Hunter x Hunter, receiving over 51,900 likes in six months (shown below).

On April 5th, 2025, TikToker[5] @zeneiacc posted a video of herself lip dubbing the clip, gaining over 83,400 likes in three months (shown below).
