About
Brainwashed Jotchua refers to a Photoshop variant that inserted the dog character Jotchua into a conspiracy theory art piece by artist David Dees, which originally showed a crying Brainwashed Kid or Brainwashed Boy, whose brain is exposed and being injected with mercury while also being exposed to fluoride, 5G radiation, aluminum chemtrails, Wi-Fi and the ADHD medication Ritalin, all set over a purple background. As stated, the original piece was made by artist David Dees (who also made the Cellphone Tower Radiation Effects image) and trended in memes throughout the late 2010s and 2020s. The Jotchua Photoshop surfaced in 2023, additionally gaining usage in memes on Twitter / X, Instagram, Tumblr and elsewhere online.
Origin
On May 23rd, 2017, late artist David Dees shared a new piece to Facebook,[8] showing a boy with an exposed brain being injected with mercury while also being exposed to fluoride, 5G radiation, aluminum chemtrails, Wi-Fi and the ADHD medication Ritalin, all set over a purple background. The image was a parody of a People magazine cover, instead reading, "Sheeple." The boy is also seen wearing a chained General Electric (GE) SmartMeter electric meter device. The post received 107 reactions in seven years (shown below).
On April 21st, 2023, a Tumblr[1] post by user cowpokeslastride was logged in the Wayback Machine. [2][3] The post has since been deleted. The image was a photoshop of Jotchua onto the David Dees drawing, showing the dog with an exposed brain being injected with mercury, surrounded by fluoride, 5G radiation, aluminum, Wi-Fi and the ADHD medication Ritalin with the purple background (shown below). The deleted post is currently the first known online.
