About

Call Of Duty: Prop Hunt, also known as Call Of Duty: Hide And Seek Mode, refers to a Call Of Duty game mode in which players have to find and kill each member of the opposing team, who can be assigned objects or “Props” to control and hide anywhere on the map, similar to the hide and seek kids game. The mode was highly played by streamers in early 2021, who later uploaded their gameplay videos on TikTok, Instagram and Instagram, inspiring a series of ironic memes on social media.

Origin

The Prop Hunt mode was initially released in the Call Of Duty franchise on March 30th, 2017, as an April Fool's joke.[1] The mode was well received among players and officially added to Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered on August 1st, 2017, after the company asked their player's to choose between two new game mode's to be added on the game. The tweet[2] (shown below) amassed more than 7,600 likes and 12,000 retweets in seven years.
