Chromatica II Into 911 refers to a series of memes based on the reaction to the transition between the songs "Chromatica II" and "911" on the Lady Gaga album Chromatica. The transition also inspired a series of remix videos, timing the song transition to sync with violent or explosive scenes in film, television and other videos.

Origin

In May 2020, the Lady Gaga released the album Chromatica in the United States. The album features two tracks, "Chromatica II," an instrumental interlude, and "911," which transition into each other (songs below).

On May 28th, 2020, people began reacting to the song transition. For example, that day, Twitter user @fadblood tweeted a GIF of a woman fainting with the caption "chromatica II into 911…" (shown below).

On June 11th, Twitter user @TomZohar tweeted, "Anyway here’s the scene where Mulan leaves home cut to the transition from Chromatica II into 911." The tweet received ore than 225,000 views, 16,000 likes and 5,400 retweets in less than one month (shown below)

On June 23rd, Twitter user @dickrtreat tweeted a clip from the film Death Becomes Her set to the songs with the caption, "Chromatica II into 911 but Helen Sharp gets a hole shot into her stomach." The post received more than 600,000 views, 26,000 likes and 9,700 retweets in less than one week (shown below).
