Finally My Taxi Is Here or GTG My Bus Is Here refers to an exploitable image macro series where a character is photoshopped in front of a psychiatric hospital bus alongside the caption, "finally my taxi is here." The meme was first posted to Instagram in February 2022 and became the subject of photoshops throughout 2023.

Origin

On February 17th, 2022, Instagram^[1] user raccoon_motivation posted an image macro showing a raccoon standing in front of a bus labeled "psychiatric hospital" captioned, "finally my taxi is here," garnering over 24,700 likes in just under two years (shown below). The image gained viral spread and was reposted by Instagram^[2][3] users raccoon_clubs and raccoon_memes_daily that March and August, garnering over 42,000 likes and 15,000 likes respectively in a year.

Spread

The meme became the subject of photoshops throughout 2023. On May 26th, 2023, Facebook^[4] user MiChumi posted a photoshop that gained over 8,700 shares and 13,000 reactions in six months (shown below, left). On August 25th, Facebook^[5] user Rina Lucsper posted a photoshop that gained over 8,800 shares and 17,000 reactions in three months (shown below, right).

On September 25th, Facebook^[6] page Bojack horseman is literally me posted a Bojack Horseman version of the meme, garnering over 2,900 reactions and 1,500 shares in three months (shown below). It was also posted to the bojackhorseman_is_literallyme Instagram^[7] page, garnering over 18,600 likes in the same span of time.

On October 12th, iFunny^[8] user _Renegade posted a version of the meme that gained over 6,400 smiles in a month (shown below).
