Fred Durst's Rebrand refers to the new haircut and look of former Limp Bizkit singer Fred Durst, which he debuted on July 28th, 2021. Durst deleted all of his posts on Instagram and posted a picture of himself with a full head of grey hair and a handlebar mustache, leading to jokes about the vastly different look for the singer.
Origin
On July 28th, 2021, Fred Durst deleted all of the pictures on his Instagram[1] and left a new picture of himself sporting a full head of gray hair and a handlebar mustache, gaining over 42,000 likes in 14 hours (shown below).
Spread
The picture spread on Twitter after user @HKesvani[2] tweeted it, writing, "Fred Durst deleted all his insta posts and is rebranding!", gaining over 200 retweets and 5,000 likes within 15 hours (shown below, left). The tweet quickly led to joked about Durst's new look. For example, user @seanoconnz[3] posted, "Fred Durst looks like he’s got into flipping houses on HGTV," gaining over 40 retweets and 850 likes (shown below, right).
Several users compared the picture to "Billy Ray Cyrus' Much To Think About Tweet. User @TwitersBadBoy[4] made the comparison, as did Mel Magazine[5] (shown below).
