I'm at a Pride Parade Why Is Every Girl You Know Here is a series of redraw memes based on a Mob Psycho 100 meme in which the character Arataka Reigen calls Mob from an LGBTQ+ pride parade and says, "Hey, Mob! I'm at a pride parade (as an ally) why the fuck is every girl you know here." The original meme was posted by Tumblr user yasuhostan420 in November 2021 and slowly spread over the following years, becoming a more widespread subject of redraws between 2023 and 2024. The joke is that the character being called is not known to be in relationships with the female characters in their respective show, suggesting they are all lesbians.

On November 15th, 2021, Tumblr^[1] user yasuhostan420 posted a meme referencing the anime series Mob Psycho 100. The meme shows Reigen at an LGBTQ+ pride parade on the phone with Mob, saying, "Hey, Mob! I'm at a pride parade (as an ally) why the fuck is every girl you know here." Several of the female characters from the series are shown in the background. The post gained over 5,000 notes in three years.

Spread

On June 1st, 2022, Redditor u/sylveonemeraldz posted a redraw of the meme referencing Pokemon to the subreddit /r/MandJTV,^[2] garnering over 4,200 upvotes in two years. On the same day, X^[3] user @Blightmxb posted a redraw referencing RWBY that gained over 3,600 likes in the same span of time.

On April 22nd, 2024, X^[4] user @aratakaswife reposted the original version of the meme, writing, "sharing this masterpiece again for lesbian visibility week," garnering over 6,100 likes in nine months. On June 1st, X^[5] user @cIoudgf posted a new version of the meme referencing Final Fantasy VII, garnering over 6,700 likes in seven months.

Also on June 1st, X^[6] user @Juliamex3 reposted the Pokemon version of the meme, writing, "HAPPY PRIDE MONTH BESTIES!!!" garnering over 20,000 likes in the same span of time.

On June 28th, 2024, user bizarreblues posted a version of the meme to Instagram^[7] and X,^[8] garnering over 4,800 likes on the former and 71,000 likes on the latter in seven months.

On January 1st, 2025, the Pokemon version of the meme was posted to the subreddit /r/PeterExplainsTheJoke^[9] by a user asking to have the joke behind the meme explained, garnering over 2,100 upvotes in a day. By that time, the top comment read, "It's a silly explanation for why none of the girls ever dated Ash I guess?"
