Dr. Pepper Guy, also known as Dr. Pepper Man, refers to a prolific Stream Sniper in Japan who targets famous Twitch and YouTube stars by handing them a can of Dr. Pepper when they're "in real life" (IRL) streaming. Dr. Pepper Guy went largely viral in April 2025 after he stream sniped American streamer Mizkif at a restaurant.

History

On April 12th, 2025, Twitch streamer Kole404 posted an Instagram[8] Reel to his account @tokyo_sims_, which showed an encounter with the Dr. Pepper Man. He came up during a street interview and handed him a can of Dr. Pepper in a Super Mario box. Over 13 days, the video received roughly 46,700 likes (shown below).




On April 14th, 2025, the Dr. Pepper Guy stream sniped Twitch streamer Vangard. The clip was posted to Twitch[1] on the day, receiving over 40,000 views in 11 days (YouTube[7] upload shown below). He's seen walking up to Vangard on the street, heading him a can of Dr. Pepper and walking away.



On April 14th, Redditor PuzzledExercise5943 shared Vangard's clip to the /r/LivestreamFail[2] subreddit, gaining over 260 upvotes in 11 days.

On April 16th, 2025, Twitch[3] streamer t10nat was also streaming in Japan, when she was approached by the Dr. Pepper Guy, who similarly handed her a soda can and left. The clip gained over 78,100 views in 10 days. The clip was also posted to the /r/LivestreamFail[4] subreddit.

On April 17th, t10nat posted the clip to her Instagram[5] as a Reel, gaining over 3,000 likes in eight days (show below).




On April 15th, 2025, Twitch streamer Mizkif was stream sniped by the Dr. Pepper Guy. The clip on Twitch[6] received over 97,700 views in 10 days.

YouTuber[7] ClipCore compiled all of the abovementioned clips into one compilation on April 17th, gaining over 5,900 views in eight days (shown below).
