Online Start

The first TikTok posted on his account, georainbolt,^[1] was shared on October 11th, 2021, consisting of an attempt at getting the world record in Geoguessr without moving, panning or zooming, which are all essential core mechanics in the game for trying to understand where you are in the world. His video received 450 likes in 10 months, but his likes and skills quickly started to pick up shortly after (shown below).

Online Presence

Rainbolt's online presence began to grow after he created a Twitch account on November 29th, 2021, as it allowed others who were specifically looking for GeoGuessr content to find him. This led to his Twitch account accumulating over 3,900 followers in seven months, while his TikTok subsequently exploded in virality, attaining over 589,000 followers in the same timeframe. This is partially due to his content being of a newer style of bait-and-switch in which a video shows something else to initially draw the viewer in, then it switches to Rainbolt doing a round of Geoguessr. This can be seen in his TikTok^[2] uploaded on April 6th, 2022, which gained 26,500 likes in two months (shown below).

Typically, this isn't the content that gets him the highest views or likes, however, as clips of his impressive feats within Geoguessr are his most viral videos. His most liked TikTok^[3] is his world-famous run of GeoGuessr in which he had only one-tenth of a second to see the screen before guessing where he was and being very accurate, earning him over 1.5 million likes and over 14 million views in two months (shown below).
