PewDiePie Shopping refers to a photo taken of PewDiePie returning a shopping cart which became an exploitable among his fans.

Origin

On November 5th, 2018, Ricky Berwick tweeted a picture of PewDiePie shopping his friend allegedly took. The tweet gained over 3,200 retweets and 39,000 likes (shown below).

Spread

After the picture was posted, it began spreading as an exploitable among PewDiePie fans. Some popular examples include a post by user pexxan on November 13th parodying Fortnite that gained over 9,000 likes (shown below, left). On November 12th, user eromoi posted a parody which depicted PewDiePie as a Chad from the Virgin vs. Chad meme that gained over 12,000 points (shown below, right).

It was also parodied in video edits. Grandayy posted a video on November 25th that gained over 1 million views (shown below, left). User
Kampf KartoffelTM posted a video reposted by Instagram user notkinghill that gained over 2,000 views (shown below, right).

On November 26th, PewDiePie covered the meme in a video in which he also discussed They Did Surgery On a Grape, which gained over 7.4 million views.
