The video went viral on TikTok in mid-2023 after it was posted by user @rubel.hossain786. Edits of the "Pickle No Good" video have continued to make the rounds online in the years since. A popular edit of the video created by X user @Lovedrug often has the phrase, "the pickle of anger and disapproval," edited onto it.

On July 30th, 2023, gas station clerk and TikToker^[1] @rubel.hossain786 posted a video showing a customer trying to buy a Bic lighter, but refusing to take one with a cartoon pickle on it. The video shows the two going back and forth, the clerk insisting on the pickle lighter even as the customer repeatedly says, "Pickle no good."

The video gathered over 9 million views and 800,000 likes in two years.

On January 1st, 2024, YouTuber^[5] @Zorrger posted a video titled, "Fiber Optic Pickle Lighter," gathering over 161,000 views in a year.

On April 7th, 2024, YouTuber^[6] @someone posted an animation using the audio from the Pickle No Good video. The post gathered over 70,000 views in a year.
