Rambling Goat and Huh? Cat, also known as Goat Cat Huh? or Goat and Cat Meme, is an exploitable video meme format depicting a goat making random noises and a confused cat making a "huh?" sound. The clip was uploaded to TikTok in early October 2023 and is often used alongside object-labeling captions about situations in which a person is making indistinguishable sounds or speaking in a nonsensical manner, leaving the listener feeling confused and lost.

The Rambling Goat and Huh? Cat meme combines two viral videos posted on YouTube in 2013 and in 2023 on TikTok. The rambling goat video was originally posted (shown below) to YouTube^[1] on April 224th, 2013, by user @ResQnSav, garnering over 2 million views and 16,000 likes in a decade.

The huh? cat is known as Ben Cat, which is a TikToker^[2] named @planetvenus500 who posts videos about their chubby cat. The video used in the meme was first uploaded on August 10th, 2023, showing the cat meowing for food (shown below), which received more than 541,000 plays and 31,000 likes in two months.

The earliest found usage of both viral videos combined as the "Rambling Goat and Huh? Cat" meme was posted to TikTok on October 7th, 2023, by user @vivi000.o.^[3] The video (shown below, left) has the overlay text "When the teacher is trying to teach me calculus," which uses the goat as the teacher and the huh cat as the confused student. The post amassed over 7 million plays and 1.2 million likes in five days.

On October 8th TikTok^[4] user @..kekky showed a similar scenario in which a student is confused in a math class. The video (shown below, right) garnered over 3 million plays and 496,000 likes in four days.

As of October 11th, 2023, the hashtag "#goatandcatmeme" accumulated over 2,500 views on TikTok^[5] and the hashtag "#goatandcat" garnered over 41,000 views on the platform.^[6]
