"Shaxicula (Toxic x Love Shack x Dragula)" is a song mashup by DJ Cumberbund of "Toxic" by Britney Spears, "Love Shack" by the B-52s and "Dragula" by Rob Zombie. The track became a popular sound on TikTok, inspiring numerous dance videos, in January 2021.

Origin

On February 16th, 2018, DJ Cumberbund published a mashup remix of "Toxic," "Love Shack" and "Dragula" on YouTube. The post received more than 691,000 views in less than three years (shown below).



On December 4th, 2020, DJ Cumberbund published the remix on TikTok. The post received more than 5.5 million views, 665,000 reactions and 9,000 comments in less than two months (shown below).

That day, on December 4th, 2020, TikToker @mrprofessor318 shared a video of themself dancing to the song. The post received more than 122,000 reactions, 13,000 shares 3,100 comments in less than two months (shown below, left).

The following day, December 12th, TikToker @yeehawpirate shared video dance to the song, which received more than 99,000 views and 23,000 reactions in less than two months (shown below, right).

In 2021, the dance went viral on TikTok, with videos of people dancing receiving millions of views and reactions. On January 2nd, 2021, TikToker @happymacc posted a version that received more than 15 million views, 3 million reactions, 39,000 shares and 20,000 comments in less than one month (shown below, left).

Days later, on January 6th, TikToker @sophhutchinson0 shared the most popular version of the dance, as of January 19th. The post features a shuffling foot maneuver and squat dance that many others would emulate. @sophhutchinson0's post received more than 59 million views, 10 million reactions and 72,000 comments in less than one month (shown below, right).
