About
Futabu! is a Doujinshi created by writer and illustrator Bosshi featuring a group of characters who are Futanari. The Doujin, which was later adapted into an Original Video Animation (anime), became infamous online in a similar way to Boku No Pico for its wildly shocking content.
History
On April 24th, 2005, the first of 12 chapters from the series was released. The series, an independent one created by Bosshi, would see odd updates until the final one was released on October 14th, 2011. The series received an adaptation in the form of two episodes on February 21st, 2014, and May 2nd, with additional episodes being released in the following years. On March 28th, 2014, YouTuber Blue Bread[1] uploaded the trailer for the first episode of the series, receiving over 147,000 views in nine years (shown below).
Online Presence
Due to first being a Doujinshi before the anime adaptation, a community online was already formed that knew about it prior to its release. After the episodes were released online, talk of them started to take place on social media, with Twitter user @OneLTwoTsMOFO[2] uploading one of the first reactions to seeing discussion of the show taking place on their timeline, using a reaction image of Max from Extremely Goofy Movie to show that they think the action is cool (shown below).
Memes about the show's context, or using clips and screencaps from it out of context, began to spread around in the subsequent years as it became more of a Certified Hood Classic. On June 8th, 2020, Twitter user @tippitytoptweet[3] uploaded an image of the main cast from Futabu! in front of a TGIFriday's to make a Femboy Hooters joke by captioning it "TGIFutas" (shown below).
