About

This Croc Will Die in 100 Days is a webcomic and 4koma created by きくちゆうき(Yuuki Kikuchi). It is a slice of life-style comic depicting a crocodile living a normal life with his friends until his death. While the comic moves along without overt reference to the crocodile's imminent demise, the series featured an ongoing countdown clock to the date of its death. He is accompanied by his friends which include a male mouse, male mole, female crocodile, and female canine coworker. The webcomic is said to symbolize the author's friend's tragic death when he was 20.

History

This series started on the author's Twitter[1] and Instagram[2] on December 12th and 14th, 2019, respectively (panels from first strip shown below, left). It was updated daily until March 20th, 2020, the final day of the crocodile's life (panels from final strip shown below, right). Upon the series conclusion, the artist revealed that there will be an anime film adaption of his story.[7]
