Tanner Your So Cool / I'm Not a Kissboy refers to a Roblox screenshot in which a blue avatar (AwesOmesauce_guy) says, "Tanner your so cool," to a brown-haired avatar (TREXTHECOOLESTDINO) who responds, "IM NOT A KISSBOY." The screenshot was originally posted to TikTok in a photo slideshow in July 2024 and amassed fan art on the site and other social media platforms like Twitter / X and Tumblr.
Origin
On July 7th, 2024, TikToker[1] @some_fishy_rat posted a one-photo slideshow that was a Roblox screenshot, showing a blue avatar named AwesOmesauce_guy saying, "Tanner your so cool," to a brown-haired avatar named TREXTHECOOLESTDINO who responded, "IM NOT A KISSBOY." The photo received roughly 956,900 plays and 204,700 likes in a month (shown below).
The TikToker explained the context of the photo in the description, writing, "saw this today :(( @🐌 were just drawing when 2 noobs showed up, the bacon was called tanner who was super mean while adam the blue one was nice.. 😢"
Spread
TikTokers started making fan art of the two Roblox avatars in subsequent photo slideshows. For instance, on July 7th, 2024, TikToker[2] @shmama3 posted a slideshow that included fan art, amassing over 502,700 plays and 124,500 likes in a month (shown below, left).
On July 8th, TikToker[3] @coco_nat24 posted fan art in a slideshow that received over 349,600 plays and 70,500 likes in a month (shown below, right).
The trend spread to other social media platforms in the following weeks. For instance, on July 15th, 2024, Tumblr[4] user eatingmarkerz shared an iteration about Deltarune characters, gaining over 610 notes in 18 days (shown below).
