Twilight POVs are a series of TikTok POVs videos in which TikTokkers roleplay themselves in middle school pretending they are vampires due to their exposure to the drama film series Twilight. The videos became popular in October 2019 on TikTok.

Origin

On October 6th, 2019, TikTok user @laurenmeyerz uploaded the earliest known Twilight POV video captioned "me in middle school listening to the twilight soundtrack on my way to the bus pretending i was bella going to meet edward outside" (shown below). The video gained 276,800 likes in two months and used the sound clip "for twilight lovers- jasonwaud." The sound clip is taken from the song "Bella's Lullaby" composed by Carter Burwell and played by Stan Whitmireused.^[1]

Spread

On October 24th @hallogina uploaded a video captioned "me pretending I could smell other peoples blood in the cafeteria in middle school" which received 782,500 likes in two months (shown below, left). The next day, @jay_tag uploaded a TikTok video captioned "me in 2012 aftr watchig twilight and pretending to be a wolf and transorming into a werewolf" which accumulated over 549,100 likes in two months. On October 31st, TikTok user @isanewcomb gained over 701,00 likes in a month for her video captioned "me putting in fake vampire teeth and "accidentally" showing them in at school." The soundclip has been used in over 48,800 videos as of December 4th.
