About
We Found One, A Real One is a quote from Five Nights at Freddy's 3 (FNAF 3) spoken by an employee at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza to the new night security guard, claiming that they found a real springlock suit, Springtrap. The game was released on March 2nd, 2015. The quote was popularized as the subject of memes as a catchphrase and copypasta in February and March 2026, in which it is attributed to images of old, dusty and withered meme-related and brainrot-related characters.
Origin
Five Nights at Freddy's 3 features several phone calls that the player listens to, spoken by an employee at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza known as "Phone Dude." In one phone call, Phone Dude tells the player that they found "a real one," referring to a real springlock suit. This is later revealed to be Springtrap's suit, which contains the body of William Afton, the main antagonist of the series.[1]
The call is known as one of the more memorable phone calls in the series and has inspired memes, fan art and other content throughout the 2010s and 2020s.
One early example is a piece of fan art posted by Redditor Spycrabber to the /r/fivenightsatfreddys[2] subreddit on April 14th, 2015, garnering around 360 upvotes in 11 years.
