You're a Pain In The Ass or Well I'm Sorry For Being Too Rough Yesterday is a redraw ship dynamic meme format based on an exploitable webcomic by artist joneswibu in which one person yells, "You're a pain in the ass," to another, who responds, "I'm sorry for being too rough yesterday," and then gets choked. The comic was posted to X / Twitter in mid-August 2024 and became the subject of redraws and edits over the following days in which the characters are replaced with OC characters and other characters from various franchises.

Origin

On August 17th, 2024, X^[1] artist @joneswibu posted a one-off webcomic in which a person calls a second person a pain in the ass, and the second person responds, "Well I'm sorry for being too rough yesterday," a remark jokingly suggesting that the first person had a "pain in his ass" after having rough intercourse with the second person, followed by the first person choking the second for their remark. The post gained over 41,000 likes and 6,100 reposts in two days (shown below).

Spread

The comic became the subject of redraws over the following days. On August 18th, 2024, X^[2] user @555Zinov posted a Deadpool & Wolverine redraw of the meme, garnering over 11,000 likes in a day (shown below, left).

On the same day, X^[3] and Tumblr^[4] user @LeoAndreeda posted a redraw of the meme referencing One Piece characters, garnering over 6,700 likes on the former and 800 notes on the latter in a day (shown below, right).

On August 19th, 2024, X^[5] artist @Pandaleafs posted a version of the redraw referencing the video game Cult of the Lamb, garnering over 5,700 likes in under a day (shown below).
