Fire Emblem is a strategy RPG video game series developed by Intelligent Systems and published by Nintendo. Fire Emblem has a large online following, spawning fan art and fiction, among other things.

Fire Emblem: Ankoku Ryū to Hikari no Tsurugi was originally released on the NES in 1990 as a Japanese exclusive, followed by 5 other games up until 2002. The first game to be released in the west was Fire Emblem in 2003. It has been stated that the releases of Fire Emblem in the west is partially involved with the popularity of characters Marth and Roy within Super Smash Bros. Melee. This was then followed by the release of Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones in 2004, Path of Radiance in 2005, Radiant Dawn in 2007, Shadow Dragon in 2009, and another Japanese exclusive, Fire Emblem: Shin Monshō no Nazo Hikari to Kage no Eiyū in 2010. A 13th game in the series, Fire Emblem Awakening, was released on February 4, 2013 in America.

Ike Quotes

Ike Quotes is a series of victory quotes said by the character Ike during brawls in the game Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

Gheb is a boss character during Chapter 9 of Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. He has received a fan following on the internet due to his perverted nature during the game.

3-13 Archer

The 3-13 archer is a generic AI ally archer featured during chapter 3-13 of Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. He is famous for being static for most of Chapter 3-13 but blocking enemy reinforcements that would normally cause players to quickly lose the map, and often living in the process.

“Goldoa Will Not Move”

An infamous quote stated by Dragon King Dheginsea multiple times during a flashback scene near the end of Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. The player finds that the entirety of Goldoa has moved to the Tower of Guidance during the next chapter.

“Are Marth and Roy in this game?”

A phrase often uttered by FE newcomers on the internet following the release of Fire Emblem to western audiences, often mocked by veteran FE fans, similar to how SSB fans mock anti-tier players. Has since subsided following Ike’s SSB debut in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

Uttered on the internet by a newcomer to FE in response to Fire Emblem character Marcus, who veteran FE players know not to use due to being the game’s obvious Jeigan archetype, but is a beginner’s trap to anyone else. (A Jeigan is often an old character obtained at the beginning of the game who is overpowered at that point of the game, but is pre-promoted and has terrible stat growths, causing him to be an experience vacuum and useless later in the game) Has often been repeated in reference to the Jeigan archetype.
