Who Is 'Mak0zy' And What Did He Do? The Twitch Streamer's Viral Grooming Allegations Explained
Twitch streamer Mak0zy has announced his departure from the internet after being accused of some very serious wrongdoings this month.
Recently, a 16-year-old Twitter / X user leaked some disturbing Discord DMs allegedly sent to them by Mak0zy, and since then, several other DMs have been leaked, leading to widespread cancelation of the streamer.
So what exactly was Mak0zy accused of and how did he respond to the controversy? Here's what you need to know about the Discord grooming allegations.
Who Is Mak0zy And What Are The Allegations Against Him?
Mak0zy is a small Twitch streamer who is mostly known for his Guilty Gear streams. More recently, he's been streaming the hero shooter Marvel Rivals. Mak0zy is a relatively unknown streamer by all metrics, with only a few hundred Twitch followers and about 1,800 X followers.
On January 15th, 2025, an X user named @jnxcedNO_mei, the alt for @BOYW0ND3R_, made a post admitting that they were groomed by someone in their 20s, with the user stating they were only 16. While they did not initially reveal the name of the purported groomer, a day later, after some encouragement from others, they claimed that it was Mak0zy.
This was followed by the release of screenshots of the alleged DMs sent to them by Mak0zy, which see Mak0zy inappropriately roleplaying with the victim and directly referring to them as a "child," suggesting he knew they were a minor.
How Did Mak0zy Respond To The Allegations?
Mak0zy responded to the allegations about two weeks after they dropped via an X post. In the post, Mak0zy thanks his fans, apologizes to everyone he disappointed and says goodbye. He writes that nobody will ever see him again and that he hopes nobody finds out why he had to leave.
As a dark end to the response thread, Mak0zy claims that he's not just leaving the internet, but planning on taking his own life.
It is unclear if Mak0zy went through with the threat to end his own life. Regardless, much of the internet has not been kind to him since the controversy emerged, with many sharing little to no sympathy for the streamer.
Since then, the accusations and Mak0zy's response have resulted in a lot of memes on X, including some with hundreds of thousands of likes and views.
