Baltimore Accent Rap Song / "City Girls" by Bippleyipsnipp, also known as Boom Tang Tang, On The Doogit, "City Girls Actupuhluhgoot Remixuhten," refers to a viral rap song and music video by Baltimore rapper Bippleyipsnipp that he posted to his YouTube channel in March 2021. In the video, Bippleyipsnipp is seemingly rapping jibberish like "bang bang on the biper" and "bang bang on the doogit," however, the lyrics were likened to Bippleyipsnipp's Baltimore accent. In mid-2023, the song trended on TikTok and Instagram in memes that likened it to satirical hip-hop and meme rap.

Origin

On March 2nd, 2021, YouTuber[1] MrBUHDUGGETZ DUGGETZ posted a video called "@BIPPLEYIPSNIP – City girls actupuhluhgoot remixuhten MUSIC VIDEO," which was the title of a music video for Baltimore, Maryland rapper Bippleyipsnipp. Over the course of two years, the video gained roughly 123,600 views and 8,300 likes (shown below).



A few months prior to the music video's upload, on November 25th, 2020, Bippleyipsnip posted a video to his TikTok[2] page that used the song, gaining roughly 20,200 plays and 1,000 likes in three years (shown below, left). Coinciding with the YouTube[1] upload, on March 2nd, 2021, he posted the music video to his TikTok,[3] gaining roughly 75,900 plays and 11,600 likes in two years (shown below, right).

After the video went viral on TikTok, it started to gain memes and reactions. For instance, on July 23rd, 2021, TikToker[4] @t0ps0unds posted a video, writing, "Somebody from Baltimore translate," gaining over 7,000 plays in two years (shown below, left). On December 12th, 2021, TikToker[5] @.bartels used the Squidward Listening To Music In Bed template, gaining roughly 8,900 plays in two years (shown below, right).

Starting in mid-2023, Bippleyipsnipp's song and music video received increased attention in memes. This resurgence started on July 21st, 2023, when TikToker[6] @pickelz_edits posted a video meme, gaining roughly 1.6 million plays and 310,100 likes in four days (shown below, left). Memes using the sound then followed, such as a video posted by TikToker[7] @smellyballs97 on July 23rd, 2023, that gained roughly 399,400 plays and 84,700 likes in two days (shown below, right).
