Donny Savage in A White Suit is a viral video and meme featuring a handsome and dapper-looking Black man smiling at the camera set to set to the song "Under The Influence" by Chris Brown. The lyrics mentioned are, "Baby you can, ride oh yeah, bring it over to my place." The video originates from a modeling video featuring influencer and model Donnell Blaylock Jr, better known as Donny Savage. Memes featuring Donny Savage began to go viral in Filipino Facebook groups in December 2022, with the video of Savage in a white suit going viral in India in February 2023.
Origin
On August 18th, 2016, the YouTube channel "Bienaime Agency" posted a video titled, "Donny Savage AKA Your Favorite Chocolate #MCM." The video gathered over 45,000 views in over six years (seen below, left).[1] On October 4th, 2019, Chris Brown uploaded his song "Under The Influence" to his YouTube[6] channel, gathering over 133 million views in over three years (seen below, right).
On November 24th, 2022, YouTuber[7] Rey posted a video combining the aforementioned clip and song. The upload, titled, "Donny Savage in white suit meme – Under The Influence," gathered over 54,000 views in over three months (seen below).

Sometime in late 2022, various Filipino Facebook users began sharing videos of Donny Savage in exploitable meme videos. One early example stems from a now-deleted post from a Filipino Facebook group named MGA SUKOT NA BAGAY SA PILIPINAS.[2] Donny Savage responded to the post in a Facebook status made on December 9th, 2022,[3] and a TikTok posted on the same day (seen below).[4] The meme roughly translates to, "There is a beautiful corpse / The embalmer."

On December 22nd, 2022, Facebook user Cris Noel Francisco II posted a meme to the Facebook group TAEKWONDO MEMES.[5] The post gathered over 59,000 reactions in over two months (seen below). The meme translates to, "The black belter challenges you to a sparring match / Me with the gun in my bag." The meme is a variant of the Murderous Reactions genre of memes.
In early 2023, the meme began making the rounds on various Indian Instagram meme pages. On February 11th, 2023, the Instagram[8] page IndiansonInternettt posted a meme using the video, gathering over 3,400 likes in nearly a month (seen below).
On February 13th, 2023, the Instagram[9] page 2oct.exe uploaded a carousel with the second slide containing the Donny Savage meme, gathering over 1,700 likes in nearly a month (seen below).
