Elizabeth Debicki Standing Up, also known as Shocked Elizabeth Debicki, refers to a viral video of Australian actress Elizabeth Debicki receiving the award for "Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series" for her performance as Princess Diana in The Crown during the 30th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards. The actress's shocked face and quick, awkward movement when standing up to receive the award became a viral reaction GIF and video on Twitter / X in late February 2024 as it was used in memes.

Origin

On February 24th, 2024, the Screen Actors Guild Awards event awarded Australian actress Elizabeth Debicki in the "Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series" category for her performance as Princess Diana in The Crown. The actress's acceptance speech was posted on Netflix's YouTube[1] channel that day (shown below), which amassed over 166,000 views and 2,400 likes in a week.
