About
Full of Milk refers to a drawing of a kitten, depicted to be "full of milk". It quickly became a redraw template, first across Tumblr and later Twitter, and spawned multiple variants.
Origin
On April 6th 2020, Tumblr[1] user, froutsuip, who at the time had the username wormdoctor[2], posted a drawing of a sad kitten, with an arrow pointed towards it, from the text "full of milk". The image was accompanied by the text "My artistic interpretation of what every kitten in the world always looks like". Over more than 2 years, the post received over 21,200 likes and 14,200 reblogs.
Spread
On March 30th 2021, In response to a video of farmer asking his resting pig "what the matter girl, you have a little bit too much corn?", Tumblr user minyate[3] posted the first known edit depicting a pig as "full of corn" (shown below, left), receiving over 97,400 likes and 91,334 reblogs in just over 2 years. On September 6th 2021, in response to a timelapse of an amoeba in the genus Vampyrella, Tumblr user pokepis[4] posted an edit depicting a Vampire amoeba is "full of chloroplasts" (shown below, right), receiving over 60,500 likes and 54,400 reblogs in under 2 years.
Full of Soup
On June 13th 2021, Twitter and Discord user[5] Ponky created an image; a photograph of a cat, and an arrow and text indicating that it's "Full of Soup", which was posted by Twitter user Saphyss[6] that same day (shown below, left). On January 17th, 2022, Twitter account Animals with Captions (@AnimalsCaptions)[7] posted another photograph with the same phrase, receiving over 570 retweets and 2,700 likes in two months (shown below, right)
Neko-arc Variant
On August 20th 2021, Twitter[8] user @metalscissor posted a redraw featuring Neko-arc and pilk (shown below, left) based on a kitten variant that also used pilk (shown below, right). Over 11 months, the tweet received 1990 likes and 1350 retweets.
The tweet spawned an entirely new variant with humanoid characters. Derivatives of this variant are drawn in the same style as the Neko-arc illustration.
