The animation was posted by TikTok user @reqdeca at the end of March 2026, and it was popularized as the subject of memes in early April of that year. Some of the memes reference other well-known memes of the time, including the 7×7=49 memes and Eggs After 11 memes.

On March 28th, 2026, TikToker^[1] @reqdeca posted an animated video, likely made using AI, of several Cartoon Network characters having a dance battle. Some of the characters include Samurai Jack, Uncle Grandpa, Rick and Morty and Muscle Man. The video gained over 1.1 million views in about two weeks.

In April 2026, TikTokers began pairing the video, most notably the sections with Rick and Morty and Muscle Man, with a remix of the song "Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now" with a Yeat beat created by TikToker^[2] @dwellsnyc.

One of the earliest examples was posted by TikToker^[3] @diarymarthy_ on April 6th, 2026, garnering over 354,000 views in four days.

On April 7th, 2026, TikToker^[4] @the.bigman02 posted a meme that uses the clip under a caption referencing several prominent memes on TikTok, garnering over 1.4 million views in three days.

On April 8th, TikToker^[5] @saidalkinani posted a meme consisting of a looped clip of the Rick and Morty portion of the animation under the caption, "When you were looking for a job and then you found a job," garnering over 686,000 views in two days.

On April 9th, 2026, TikToker^[6] @younous058 posted an Accuracy Reenactment meme in which he dances like Rick and Morty in the animation, garnering over 219,000 views in a day.
