About

Accuracy Reenactments, also known as "99.99% Accuracy" Meme Reenactments, refers to a TikTok trend of recreating viral videos and memes with close to 100 percent accuracy. This involves memorizing the dialogue and perfecting the mannerisms of the original people. Prominent examples include the Jeff Bliss "Friggin' Packet, Yo" video, Luke Belmar's "Johnnie Walker in the War Room With Tristan Tate" video and the Jaden Smith podcast interview, also known as "BROOOO" or "Can We Talk About the Political and Economic State of the World Right Now?" among many others. The trend also manifested in combination reenactments in which the scripts of each viral video were mashed into one transcript by the person talking in a given video. The trend spread en masse in January 2025, predominantly inspired by TikToker Cookie King who started the trend in late 2024.

Origin

Starting in late December 2024, TikToker Cookie King started posting videos that remixed and edited Luke Belmar's "Johnnie Walker" video to his secondary TikTok[1] account @miamicookie. In January 2025, he started reenacting the video.

For instance, on January 3rd, 2025, he posted a TikTok[2] that was his first attempt to recreate the "Johnnie Walker" video, receiving over 980 likes in three weeks (shown below).

He also posted a TikTok[3] on January 3rd, before the aforementioned, in which he recreated the Chopped Chin meme, gaining over 554,00 likes over the same timeframe.

In the following days, a trend of doing Johnnie Walker Speedruns emerged on TikTok, started by TikToker[5] @miamicookie on January 6th.

Others added to the trend in the following days, including TikToker[6] @big2and2 on January 11th, 2025.

On January 14th, TikToker[7] @big2and2 shared a Johnnie Walker reenactment, including a text overlay that stated, "Johnnie Walker speech 99.6% accurate (Facial expressions & body movement copied)." The video received over 100,300 likes in 15 days (shown below). The video is the first known reenactment to list an accuracy percentage.

The video received over 1.2 million likes in nine days (shown below).
