Mark Zuckerberg Smoking Meats refers to a Facebook Live video stream held by Mark Zuckerberg in which he repeatedly announces that he is "smoking meats" in his backyard.

Origin

On October 9th, 2016, Zuckerberg streamed himself on Facebook[1] barbequing in his backyard (shown below). Within two years, the video garnered more than 620,000 reactions, 430,000 comments and 20,400 shares.



Spread

On December 13th, 2016, YouTuber Meat uploaded a short edit of the livestream, featuring clips of Zuckerberg repeatedly talking about "smoking meats" (shown below). Within two years, the video gained over 1.1 million views and 7,400 comments.



On October 29th, 2017, PewDiePie highlighted a part of the livestream in which Zuckerberg reads a comment asking about the Zucc meme (shown below, left). On April 12th, 2018, h3h3productions used the same clip in a video titled "Zucc Gets Roasted" (shown below, right).



On June 6th, YouTuber umami uploaded an animated version of the livestream titled "Grill Talk with Mark Zuckerberg" (shown below, left). On June 24th, YouTuber Meat's video reached the front page of the /r/videos[2] subreddit. On August 23rd, the Schmoyoho YouTube channel uploaded a songified version of the livestream (shown below, right).



On January 4th, 2019, YouTuber Tyler Cassidy uploaded footage of himself singing a song about the Zuckerberg livestream titled "Smoking These Meats" (shown below).
