My Husband Wants To Show You His Collection and You Better Be Nice is a meme trend where a man's partner approaches the camera, threateningly says that her husband or boyfriend wants to show off his collection and that the viewer "better be nice," then stands in the background encouragingly as her partner shows off his collection. The trend was started by TikToker @yearningyardies on June 12th, 2025, with a video in which her boyfriend shows off his plants after she threatens the viewers. The trend went viral over the course of June 2025, also inspiring photoshops, redraws and other memes based on the format.

Origin

On June 12th, 2025, TikToker[1] @yearningyardies posted a video that begins with her looking into the camera and, in a threatening way, saying, "My boyfriend wants to show you his plants and you'd better say they're cool." She then backs away from the camera and stands in the background, hyping him up, as her boyfriend shows off his plants. After he's done, she walks back up to the camera and tells viewers to leave a nice comment. The video gained over 45.1 million views in 11 days.

On June 13th, the same TikToker[2] posted a follow-up to the original video, in which her boyfriend shows off more of his plants, garnering over 45.8 million views in 10 days.

For example, on June 13th, 2025, TikToker[3] @perriesian posted a video following the format in which her fiance shows off his golf clubs, garnering over 11.9 million views in 10 days. On the same day, X[4] user @smokeyrgreens reposted the second of @yearningyardies' videos, writing, "needa love like this," garnering over 164,000 likes and 3.4 million views in the same span of time.

On June 21st, X[6] user @Mnjsales posted a video following the trend, in which a man shows off his anime durag collection, garnering over 50,000 likes and 2.5 million views in two days. On June 22nd, a version of the trend was reposted to the /r/CoupleMemes[7] subreddit, garnering over 3,500 upvotes in a day.


On June 23rd, X[8] user @fallenshadow_YT posted a piece of art based on the trend, writing, "tiktok trend where girl forces the viewer to appreciate her significant other's autistic quirk… gone wrong gone scary gone dangerous 😨😨🔥" garnering over 4,000 likes in under a day.
