Mythra vs Kazooie refers to the rivalry portrayed by the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate online community between Mythra from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Kazooie from Banjo-Kazooie. The two are pitted against one another due to both being portrayed as sassy characters that often get into fights in their respective games.

Origin

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was released on December 8th, 2018.^[1] Both characters were announced as DLC fighters, with Kazooie (along with Banjo) first releasing on September 4th, 2019,^[2] and Mythra (along with Pyra) releasing on March 4th, 2021.^[3] Shortly after Pyra & Mythra were announced as the next DLC fighter on February 17th, 2021, @kiravera8^[4] on Twitter posted fan art of Mythra and Kazooie getting into an argument. The post accumulated 7,600 likes and 1,400 retweets (shown below).

While @kiravera8 continued to make fan art of the two, other artists joined in to share their takes on the rivalry. On February 20th, 2021, @ToastyDarkBagel^[5] posted a comic of Pyra and Banjo being friendly while Mythra and Kazzoie insulted each other. The comic gained 20,700 likes and 5,000 retweets (shown below, left). On February 22nd, 2021, @skelly_doll^[6] posted a comic where Kazooie pops Mythra’s breast like it’s a balloon. The post received 38,100 likes and 6,700 retweets (shown below, right).

On March 1st, 2021, FRANK VECTOR^[7] uploaded to Youtube a video of Mythra and Kazooie. The video had accumulated 71,000 views and 5,400 likes (shown below).
