About

On EVERYONE's Soul, We ALL X, also known as We, Yes WE, refers to a snowclone used to hyperbolically gamble the lives of everyone for a controversial or unpopular opinion. The catchphrase was first used on Twitter / X and TikTok in mid-2024, often accompanied by image macros, GIFs and videos of apocalyptic events like the world exploding, massive cemeteries or the Third Impact scene from Neon Genesis Evangelion. The phrasal template evolved heading into 2025, as common variations like "We, Yes WE," gained major traction.

Origin

Non-viral use of "On Everyone's Soul" surfaced on X[1] as early as March 23rd, 2024. It's unclear if a viral precursor post sparked the early usage or not.

On July 8th, X[2] user @fuckoffale tweeted, "On everyone’s soul [I'mma] get a girlfriend this year," showing "Everyone" as the Third Impact scene from The End of Evangelion. The tweet received 150 likes in 10 months (shown below).

It's unclear if the abovementioned tweet is the origin, as more viral iterations soon followed on TikTok. The first known was shared by TikToker[3] @_fict1onn on July 16th, 2025. It was a Slow Fade-In video that top-captioned an image of a cemetery, "On everyone's soul we bumping TS all summer." The audio was a sped-up remix of "Not Like Us." Over 10 months, the video received over 143,800 likes (shown below).

Also on July 17th, TikToker[4] @olivepenguinz posted an almost identical video, using the same "Not Like Us" sound. The video received over 43,200 likes over the same timeframe (shown below). It's unknown which creator shared their meme first on the day.

Spread

On August 31st, 2024, Redditor drdilfenshmirtz shared a Guilty Gear scene to the /r/Guiltygear[8] subreddit, captioning it, "On EVERYONES soul this writing is peak 😭🙏," gaining over 1,200 upvotes in nine months.

Heading into late 2024, the phrasal template continued to amass viral usage. For instance, on September 19th, 2024, TikToker[5] @zshadow_x07 posted a video of the Flash running, captioned, "Me outrunning my fate after someone loosely says, 'On everybody's SOUL.'" The meme received over 377,400 likes in eight months (shown below).

On October 5th, X[6] user @penisfartcvm quote-tweeted YouTuber KSI who was tweeting about his song "Thick of It." @penisfartcvm wrote, "On EVERYONE'S soul we listening to that new KSI track," gaining over 20,000 likes in seven months (shown below).

In 2025, the phrasal template mutated as it was simplified. Creators sometimes only used "We ALL," capitalizing either "we" or "all" to emphasize the phrase. For instance, on April 11th, TikToker[7] @.×2ab posted a video compilation of people dancing, captioning it, "How WE was all bumpin' this song back in 2023." The audio was the PinkPantheress and Ice Spice song "Boy's a Liar Pt. 2." The video received over 463,300 likes in a month (shown below).
