While the exact origin of memes that imply that Kansas City Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes specifically are Satan-worshipers is unknown, an early example can be seen in a post on X made by @brndxix on February 8th, 2024 (shown below).

The X^[1] user quoted news about the fire alarm going off in the San Francisco 49ers locker room a few days before the Super Bowl, jokingly implying that Patrick Mahomes tried to sabotage their rivals using the power of Baphomet or a goat-headed incarnation of Satan.
