Pearto is a meme inspired by Kasane Teto, a virtual singer similar to Hatsune Miku, that shows Teto's face photoshopped onto a pear. Origin

Kasane Teto is a virtual singer similar to Hatsune Miku who was originally released as an April Fool's Day joke by Vocaloid fans on the messageboard Vip News Bulletin@2ch. She was incorporated into the share tech vocal synthesizer software UTAI in 2009, after which she appeared as part of DLCs for the Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA games.

"Kasane Pearto" is a fan meme created by a member of the Discord^[1] server TETOIAN'S HAVEN, a server dedicated to fans of Kasane Teto. On August 21st, 2024, X^[3] and Discord user @Ranchonnaise posted a blurry image of Kasane Teto's face on a pear, jokingly calling her a "horrible creature."

On August 20th, 2024, X^[2] user @KasaneTeto_Real screenshotted the image and reposted it to Twitter / X, gathering over 8,000 likes in six months.

On October 9th, 2024, X^[5] user @LOBOTOLOID posted fanart featuring "Pearto" getting beamed up into a spaceship by a Zeep Glorp version of Teto, gathering over 12,000 likes in four months.

On October 27th, X^[4] user @moochaakaka posted a GIF featuring Pearto-inspired fanart of Kasane Teto, gathering over 2,000 likes in four months.

On October 20th, 2024, X^[7] user @ventikoi posted a dramatic edit of Kasane Teto as Pearto, gathering over 20,000 likes in four months.

On January 14th, 2025, YouTuber^[8] Kirb to Korb posted a song to YouTube^[7] called, "Teto's desire to Pearto," gathering over 22,000 views in a month.

On January 28th, X^[6] user @AniNewsAndFarts posted a rotten version of the Pearto meme, writing, "⚠️⚠️!ALARMING!⚠️⚠️ Pearto has gone rotten," and gathering over 7,000 likes in two weeks.
