Strange Æons (sometimes nicknamed Mister Strange or Father Strange or simply Strange) is the online handle of a Canadian YouTuber known for her YouTube video essays and documentaries, particularly focused on Tumblr and LGBTQ+ topics.

Strange's most popular videos of all time are ones where she reviews vlogger Onision and books created by him. Her three videos reviewing his book trilogy all gained over 4,000,000 views in 7 years or less.

My Immortal

Strange is a fan of My Immortal and has published several videos about the fanfiction (below, top row).^[5][6] She has also recreated the fanfiction's outfits^[7] (below, bottom left) and celebrated the 20th anniversary of the fanfiction's publication^[8] (below, bottom right).

DashCon history video

On July 31, 2024, Strange posted a video titled “DashCon: An Extensive Oral History” where she discusses the events of the DashCon convention in 2014 by interviewing attendees and staff members who were there. The video gained 1,200,000 views in the following months.^[1]

She argues that the failure of the convention is to some degree overstated and that most people had a pleasant time attending. She also remarks that the most circulated videos of the event were captured by 4chan trolls giving a biased and unfair perspective of the event.

At the end of the video, she announces that DashCon 2 would be taking place in Toronto the following year.

Feud with the Muppet Joker

On May 31, 2024, Strange uploaded a video about the Tumblr character The Muppet Joker followed by a second video on October 7, 2024. The videos both gained 800,000 views in the following months.^[3][4]

Strange and Mupper Joker would also interact with each other on Tumblr, spawning a mock feud between the two. It was later decided that they would battle during DashCon 2.^[2]

DashCon 2

Strange was one of the public figures who attended DashCon 2 in 2025.

Strange Æons' real name is Teya, with her surname unknown. Her pronouns are she/her, although she often humorously uses he/him pronouns and other masculine labels. She was born in 1998 and lives in Toronto, Canada with her significant other Kristin and two sphynx cats named Kasper and Koshek. She identifies as a lesbian.
