Ron DeSantis Saying "Mmm Hungwy" is a viral video featuring Florida Governor and 2024 United States presidential election candidate Ron DeSantis in which he is made to appear as though he said "Mmm hungwy" after being served a burger. The clip originates from a Bad Lip Reading YouTube parody of his 2024 presidential campaign advertisement. The video was shared on Twitter in July 2023 and fact-checked by Forbes shortly after. The clip comes soon after a photo of DeSantis laughing with his mouth wide open was criticized as being bad for his campaign and image.

On May 19th, 2023, Florida Governor and 2024 United States presidential election candidate Ron DeSantis visited the Red Arrow Diner in New Hampshire (seen below).^[1]

On July 14th, 2023, the YouTube^[2] channel Bad Lip Reading posted a spoof campaign video for DeSantis, editing a clip from his visit to the diner, and making it appear as though he says "Mmm hungwy" after being served a burger. The clip takes place at the 0:21 timestamp. The video gathered over 200,000 views in three days (seen below).

On July 16th, 2023, Twitter^[5] user @InternetHippo quote tweeted the aforementioned video with an edited Forbes article headline. The original headline read, "Viral Video Of Ron DeSantis Saying ‘Mmm Hungwy’ Is Completely Fake," while @InternetHippo's edit reads, "Viral Video Of Ron DeSantis Saying ‘Mmm Hungwy’ Is Completely Real." The post gathered over 38,000 likes in a day (seen below).

Also on July 16th, another post sharing the clip gathered over 2 million views and 24,000 likes in a day, this time shared by Twitter user @tinylittlehomie^[6] (seen below).
