About
Straw Page, also known as Straw.Page, refers to a custom website builder for blogging, catered to mobile users. It was created by Osman Ahmed in early 2021. By 2025, Straw Page had attracted many internet users, mostly in fan art communities. It was common for people to post screenshots of Straw Page posts on Twitter / X, which they received through the site's "Send anonymously" feature. The default Straw Page post is red, with a red border, red text and a pink-red gradient background.
History
The Straw.Page[6] URL was created on July 29th, 2020, per the ICANN lookup.[2] The site wasn't launched until January 2021, as it was first added to the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine[3] on January 25th, 2021. At the time, it advertised itself as "Your new Instagram Website," and claimed to have over 10,000 websites built on it at the time (screenshot shown below).

The website's Twitter icon linked to Straw Page's creator, X[1][4] user Osman Ahmed (@okozzie_). Before Straw Page, Ahmed created a similar builder called notepin.co[5] in 2018.[7]
Ahmed's tweets before January 29th, 2021, have since been deleted.[4]
On January 18th, 2023, Ahmed tweeted[15] a preview of Straw Page, writing, "A website builder but for goofy ahh sites!" The tweet received over 1,300 likes in two years (shown below).

Features
Straw Page is advertised as a free mobile website builder. Users are able to customize a website for personal or professional use. Straw Page URLs use the suffix "straw.page," similar to Neocities sites, which use "neocities.org."
Straw Page offers free and paid subscription plans. On a free plan, a user can create two sites with five pages each. With a paid, they can create up to 25 sites with unlimited pages. The paid plan costs $49 per year. Straw Page websites have custom layouts, headers, fonts and images.[9]
Send Anonymously
A popular feature is the "Send anonymously" widget, which allows a site's visitors to answer a prompt given by the site's creator. Common prompts include, "Ask me something," or "Draw me something." Users are able to draw or write in the box and send anonymously to the site's creator.
It's common for people to share screenshots of visitor answers to Twitter / X and other social media sites. The answers are often displayed in red and pink tones (example from X[8] shown below).

Traffic
The website SimilarWeb[10] estimates that Straw Page sees 10.7 million monthly visits as of May 2025. The exact number of total Straw.Page sites, as of May 2025, has never been announced.
Online Presence
Straw Page saw an increased number in online discourse in 2025, notably caused by viral reposts of "Send anonymously" answers.
For instance, on January 24th, 2025, X[11] user @GregHouse1235 posted a drawing sent to them by an anonymous Straw Page user, showing original artwork of Dr. Wilson from House M.D. saying, "Hawk Tuah bro," roughly following the Hello Bro meme. @GregHouse1235 captioned the image, "Picasso," gaining over 56,000 likes in four months (shown below).

On January 24th, X[12] user @moltisan_ti quote-tweeted the abovementioned post with the Dih To Yo Crack image, writing, "Me looking at my 500th death threat and swastika in my Straw Page while others get full on art pieces," gaining over 39,000 likes in four months (shown below).

The website was largely adopted by fan art communities in 2025, as artists used the "Send anonymously" feature to receive commission requests and spontaneously send work to other creators in the space.
For instance, on January 4th, 2025, X[13] user @Sabertoon_artt tweeted a message they received on Straw Page, showing Link fan art, which they captioned, "Losing my mind over this WHAT," gaining over 27,000 likes in four months (shown below).

On January 6th, X[14] user @readybrady shared a screenshot, revealing that the Link art was created by them, writing, "It's quite fun to draw in Straw Page." Over four months, the post gained over 19,000 likes (shown below).
