About

Stand Ready for My Arrival, Worm is a quote from the Invincible character Conquest in which he's floating above Invincible upon his arrival. The quote was in the original comics and was featured in season 3 of the Invincible animated series on Amazon Prime Video, released in mid-March 2025. Coinciding with the episode, a series of fan edits and memes using the quote were shared on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube, among other video platforms, in early 2025.

Origin

In April 2009, Issue #61 of the Invincible comic series called, "Still Standing, Part 2," was released.^[1] In one panel, Invincible is resting his head after the "Invincible War" events when he hears, "Stand ready for my arrival, worm!" The voice belongs to Conquest, a "high-ranking Viltrumite warrior, as well as the second most powerful of the Viltrum Empire."^[2] Conquest is arriving on Earth in the scene.

The line gained infamy within the Invincible fandom as it foreshadowed the coming battle between Invincible and Conquest. On the /r/Invincible^[3] subreddit, various posts discussing the scene surfaced in the early 2020s.

One of the first memes to mention the quote and amass significant engagement was shared by Redditor^[4] Tydeus2000 to /r/Invincible on October 3rd, 2022, captioning a meme depicting Mario as cruel, gaining over 350 upvotes in three years (shown below).

Spread

On March 26th, 2023, Redditor^[5] Tydeus2000 shared a meme to the subreddit /r/Invincible, showing the Stand Ready for My Arrival, Worm panel and an arm getting goosebumps, captioned, "When the best moment of the saga begins…" receiving over 750 upvotes in two years (shown below).

On February 1st, 2025, TikToker^[6] @cosmicfanofthings posted a phonk edit about the Stand Ready for My Arrival, Worm scene from the comics, gaining over 262,000 likes in a month (shown below).

The abovementioned video spawned a TikTok sound^[7] that was used by others in the following weeks. For instance, on February 14th, TikToker^[8] @revinvc.cc posted a photo slideshow using the sound, showing Invincible as the Thousand Yard Stare soldier with Conquest floating behind him, gaining over 215,500 likes in a month (shown below).

On March 1st, 2025, TikToker^[9] @tqnnerbtw posted a photo with the sound, showing Conquest floating above a city scene, captioned, "Bro WHO is that," gaining over 644,200 likes in 13 days (shown below).

Season 3 Episode

On March 6th, 2025, season 3, episode 7 of the Invincible animated series was released on Amazon Prime Video. The episode's ending cliffhanger was Conquest arriving and floating above Invincible as he says, "Stand ready for my arrival, worm." The scene was posted by TikToker^[10] @rubber.db on March 6th, gaining over 47,800 likes in eight days (shown below).

The scene also went viral on Twitter / X when X^[11] user @zerowontmiss shared it, gaining over 15,000 likes in eight days.
