Crossfire Parkour refers to a gameplay method popular in the Crossfire first-person shooter community. "Parkour Mode" is a part of select Deathmatch maps, in which players go through a series of obstacles in an attempt to reach the goal. Videos of Chinese, Filipino, and Vietnamese players doing Crossfire parkour have been popular on YouTube since at least 2013, finding a new audience on TikTok in 2023.

Origin

The earliest known video of a player doing Crossfire parkour was posted to YouTube[1] by @CFguidao on October 20th, 2012, gathering over 50,000 views in 10 years (seen below).

Spread

Crossfire parkour videos continued to be posted to YouTube for consecutive years, often in the form of players doing speed runs or complicated maps that they likely constructed themselves. On February 8th, 2018, YouTuber[2] XIEXL CF posted a video doing Crossfire parkour, gathering over 400,000 views in over five years (seen below, left). On December 5th, 2018, YouTuber[3] Ericsony posted a video showing a race between them and the Vietnamese player hgl555, gathering over 1 million views in five years (seen below, right).

On January 8th, 2023, TikToker[4] @chineselolvideoes posted a video of a person raging while doing a difficult Crossfire parkour course. The video gathered over 3.6 million views and 400,000 likes in over two months (seen below, left). On January 11th, 2023, TikToker[5] @chineselolvideoes posted another such video, gathering over 3 million views and 400,000 likes in two months (seen below, right).
