Origin

The Bible makes frequent references to greed, as seen in Proverbs 15:27, "Whoever is greedy for unjust gain troubles his own household, but he who hates bribes will live," and in Proverbs 28:25, "A greedy man stirs up strife, but the one who trusts in the Lord will be enriched."^[1]

On June 3rd, 2013, X^[2] user @I_Wendleton posted a tweet that read, "This is the definition of greed that the Bible talks about."
